- My interview stategy was to ask students that live on campus about their opinions on the dining hall. Some questions I asked were "What is your least favorite part of the dining hall", "Would you get the meal plan again", and "Why didn't you choose to have the meal plan".
- Videos are above
- From interviewing the customers of the dining hall I found that a lot of students are not happy with the meal plan. The biggest complaint is the quality of the food they serve and many are not getting the meal plan again. If they were to increase the quality of food they could attract more students. Also, the main reason some students choose not to get the meal plan because of the pricing. I would like to show these videos to the University of Florida in an effort to increase the quality of food for next semester.

I agree that the dining hall's weren't very good. As soon as I was able to move somewhere with a kitchen I stopped going to them. One problem I did have, that you didn't mention, was the lack of price difference between the plans. There is only a hundred dollars or so difference between the most expensive and least expensive traditional meal plans, which only incentivizes going to a more expensive option. My project also involves the UF campus, specifically creating a new WiFi network that would be more reliable. You can check it out at the link below if you're interested.

Hey Peter! Wow, I think this is a great idea. I am a food lover, and I must agree the variety and quality of food is lacking in the dining halls. I would love to see a change, and I look forward to keeping up with your project. Lower prices would also be a huge positive change. Keep up the good work. ReplyDeleteInteresting interviews. I love food and the dinning halls definitely need more variety with their food. I always eat at the dinning halls and sometimes it does get boring eat the same stuff all the time. I would want to see a change and it sounds like a great project!
